Roker Park Lights 2013

From Saturday October 12th until Sunday November 3rd, Roker Park will be transformed into a 'Wonderland Experience.'
The park will feature atmospheric lighting alongside Alice in Wonderland sculptures that light up during the evening. A programme of weekend activities for children will also be available.
The display will provide visitors with the chance to enjoy the historic park during the evening and find some surprising colourful characters along the way.
The introduction of this year’s new Alice in Wonderland features means visitors will also be able to enjoy Roker Park Lights during the day as well as the evening.
Roker Park will stay open during the evenings until 9pm.
Getting to Roker Park Lights
Busses: From Sunderland City Centre the E1, E2 and E6 via Whitburn Road.
By Car: Please use Marine Walk Car Park (Free) and walk along the seafront to Holey Rock Corner for the entrance to Roker Park Lights. Get directions to Marine Walk Car Park by clicking here.

Free Family Activity at Roker Park Lights
Every weekend during 5pm - 9pm family activities will be available at Roker Park Lights.
Every Saturday look out for the chance to meet and greet the character's up close in person and every Sunday story telling will be available in the bandstand!
In addition to the above from the 19th of October, on Saturdays between 5pm and 9pm children are invited to make their own tea cup and cake lanterns. On the final night of Roker Park Lights, children who've made a lantern are invited back to help illuminate the park with their tea cup and saucer lanterns by floating them on the Roker Park pond to create an illuminated tea party. Please note that spaces are limited for children to make lanterns and getting down early is recommended, the sessions start at 5pm, 6pm, 7pm and 8pm at the Bowling Club. The activity is suitable for sever year olds and upward - all children must be accompanied by an adult.

November 3rd - The Final Night at Roker Park Lights
The final night of Roker Park Lights - A Wonderland Experience will see the park come alive with extra family friendly activity including a very exciting competition and the chance to get some very special limited edition memorabilia! The fun starts when the lights go on at 5pm.
