Sunderland Live - what we are about
Sunderland Live is the company behind some of the biggest and best-loved events in the North East’s calendar.
Formed in April 2013, as a spin-out from Sunderland City Council, Sunderland Live has taken on the mantle of delivering a city-wide programme of award-winning events that is helping to establish Sunderland regionally, nationally and internationally as a leading destination for events.
Delivering showcase spectacles including the Sunderland International Airshow, which this year celebrates its 25th anniversary and is set to attract more than one million people to the city; and supporting with the organisation of the Stadium of Light’s programme of live music events over the summer months, Sunderland Live is a business that is making a significant contribution to the regional economy.
