Houghton Feast 2013 Press Launch

Last week Emma, Nicola and Katy headed to a chilly Houghton-le-Spring for the press launch of Houghton Feast. The Houghton Feast Steering Group including Chair of the Steering Group, Councillor Anne Lawson joined musicians and performers from the Houghton Pipe Band and drummers from African music group Arts Isiziba for a photo shoot on The Broadway.

It was a great morning featuring a taste of things to come when the event kicks off on the 4^th October at 6pm.

The 2013 Houghton Feast themed ‘All the fun of the Fair’ will combine all a range of traditional events alongside modern activities. This year has only seen the introduction of a singer/song writing competition, inviting Sunderland’s musical talent to submit a track themed ‘All the Fun of the Fair!’

The Houghton Feast will launch on October 4^th and will feature live musical performances, a family friendly funfair and a firework display. To find out more about Houghton Feast and what's on click here.
