Is the Event Free?
Yes the event is free.
You can however upgrade your #SunAirshow experience and take advantage of one of the hospitality packages. For further information please click here

What Time Does the Friday Evening Event Start and Finish?
The Friday Night Launch event commences at 6pm and ends at 10pm.

What are the Event Timings for Saturday and Sunday?
The International Airshow runs from 10am – 6pm on both days

What time does the Flying Display Start on Saturday and Sunday?
Saturday 12:20pm – 5pm.
Sunday 12pm – 5:15pm.
The Red Arrows will close the show on Saturday and open the Sunday.

What Parking Facilities are there?

Friday
A limited Park and Ride Service will operate from Stadium of Light to Bungalow Café from 4pm.
PLEASE NOTE - There is no designated parking on site.

Saturday and Sunday
Seafront Parking is available at Seaburn Showfield for a fee of £15.00 per car which will be collected at the entrance to the car park.
Please follow all signage from major routes.
Disabled parking is also available on site behind Morrisons Supermarket – please follow signage from all main routes.
Park and Ride sites are located at Fulwell Quarry and Downhill Community Sports Complex at a charge of £2 per person return (under 5’s free).
Limited availability at Stadium of Light Park and Ride Site at a charge of £2 per person return (under 5’s free).
All park and ride sites will operate from 8:45am and last bus leaving Airshow site at 6:45pm.

Is there any coach parking?
Yes, coach parking is available at Harbour View (post code for sat-navs is SR7 7EU).
No booking necessary. Follow signage from all main routes.

Is there any motorcycle parking?
There is a designated motorcycle parking area behind the Seaburn Centre.

Are there any baby changing facilities?
There will be baby changing facilities available beside the Tram Shelter on Whitburn Road, opposite the Marriott Hotel

Is there an official Souvenir Programme available?
Yes the Official Souvenir Programme will be available from the Administration Cabin on Cliffe Park and from Wednesday 23 July onwards.
Official Programme Sellers will be located throughout the event site over the weekend.
The 66 page Souvenir Programme is £5.

When will Resident Permits be delivered?
All resident permits will be delivered week commencing 15 July. Any additional permits can be collected from the Administration Cabin on Cliffe Park from Tuesday 23 July onwards – office open 10am – 7pm.
Proof of address must be shown. All additional permits will include the applicant’s address before distribution.

Is there a Cash Point on site?
Yes, FREE cash points are available in Morrison’s Supermarket

Is there any carbon off-setting this year?
We are currently working with The Green Futures Team at Gentoo to begin measuring our Carbon Footprint with a view to being able reduce it in future years.

What are the regular bus numbers?

Where is the nearest Metro Station?
There are three Metro Stations close to the Airshow site; Seaburn, Stadium of Light and St Peter’s.

Is there any cycle parking?
Yes, cycle parking is available at Marine Walk, which is located in Zone 5.

What is the Radio frequency for traffic / flight updates?
BBC Newcastle will provide the latest traffic and flight information.
They can be found on 95.4FM

What is available for lost child prevention?
Wristbands are available from information points, event staff, Police & Life Guards across the event staff. Please write your name and telephone number on your child’s wrist bands. We also recommend using these for vulnerable adults.

What if I lose my child?
Please make your way to the nearest Information Point.
These are located in Seaburn Playing Fields, Outside of Seaburn Centre, Front of Cliffe Park, Bedes Cross and Marine Walk. Alternatively approach the nearest steward, Police Officer or Event Team Staff.
