Bigger and brighter than ever before, featuring exciting new lighting installations plus some old favourites and some sparkling surprises including Alice in Wonderland, fairy dell, a sea of stars and state of the art projections.
Roker Park
Roker Park will play host to a range of returning installations alongside some exciting new additions.
Opening times are 4-10pm every evening from 26 September-1st November. Last entry to the park is approx 9.30pm every evening.
Illuminated Observation Wheel - Cliffe Park

Open 26 September (launch night) – 6pm – 10pm
Then open every Thursday – Sunday starting 1 October, 4pm – 10pm, plus every day during October half term week, 4pm-10pm.
- £4 for adults, £3 for children under 1.4m and £10 for a family deal - 2 adults + 2 children or 1 adult + 3 children.
Roller Rink - Cliffe Park

Open every Thursday – Sunday starting 1 October, 4pm – 10pm, plus every day during October half term week, 4pm-10pm.

45 minute sessions (with 15 min changeover) starting at 4pm, 5pm, 6pm, 7pm, 8pm and 9pm.
- £4pp or family ticket £14 (2 adults + 2 children or 1 adult + 3 children.) 100 skaters maximum at any session.
- No age restrictions, child’s size 9 smallest boot size.

Ocean Park fun fair
- Open 26th September (launch night) – 6pm – 10pm
- Then open every day 4pm – 10pm until 1 November
Land Train
- 4-10pm, Thursdays – Sundays and every day at half term.
- Pick up and drop off points – Roker Park, Queens Parade (outside the Promenade public house) and Cliffe Park (outside the tram shelter)
- Train decorated with lights and music played.
- One way - £2 adult/£1 child/ under 2s free/ £5 family of 4
- All day - £3 adult/£2 child/ under 2s free/ £8 family of 4
Model Railway in Roker Park
- Running every Friday, Saturday and Sunday evening between 5pm-8pm
- No charge, donations welcomed
HOW TO GET THERE
There will be no parking available in the streets surrounding Roker Park and the seafront.
Park and Ride from city centre
- Operating Thursdays – Sundays throughout the event and every day during October half term.
- Departs every 20 minutes from 4pm. Last departure from Roker Park back to city centre 9.20pm.
- Pick up at St Mary's Boulevard in the city centre, at bus stop opposite Keel Square, at the former Vaux site. Drop off at Keel Square.
- £1.50 per adult single trip, £2.50 per adult return, and £1.10 for a child day ticket. Under 5s travel free.
- Free travel for people parking in St Mary’s (postcode SR1 3AH) or Sunniside (postcode SR1 1UL) car parks and showing their car park ticket to the bus driver.
Park and walk
- From University of Sunderland St Peter’s campus car park (postcode SR6 0DD)
- £1.60 for whole evening from 5pm. (£2 on match days)
- Approx 1mile/20 minutes walk

- Nearest Metro stations are Seaburn (20 minute walk to Roker Park) and Stadium of Light (14 minute walk to Roker Park).
