Race for Life 2014

Show cancer who’s boss and take part in Race for Life 2014!

Show cancer who's boss by taking on a 5k or a 10k Race for Life event. Run, walk or dance your way through the course and help us say "cancer we're coming to get you." The race starts and finishes on the main field in the shadow of the amazing Penshaw Monument. The route goes around the park, where you can take in the views across the North East as well as the local wildlife. The course is mainly on footpaths with a couple of hills along the way.

Adult entry (16+ women-only) - £14.99
Child entry (6-15 girls and boys under 13) - £10
Under 6 entry (boys and girls) - free and no registration needed

Meeting point

The meeting point is adjacent to the park’s cafe.

On the day

As well as the family activities we'll be providing, the park itself offers plenty to do, so bring them all along to support you.

Parking and Travel Information

Please arrive at least an hour before the start of your Race for Life event to avoid queuing.

Parking available at Herrington Country Park. Please follow directional signage and steward instructions

Parking is available on site in one of the parks fields; the start is then just a short 5 minute walk away. Please follow event signage and instructions.
