Getting There
There are a number of ways to get you to Sunderland International Airshow:
Buses
Local services
From Sunderland city centre to Roker and Seaburn:
- Saturday: E1, E2, E6, 18, 19, 23
- Sunday: E1, E2, E6, 23
E1 and E6 services also run from South Shields.
Details of changes to these Stagecoach services is available onStagecoach website.
In addition to normal services, Stagecoach will be running Service 510 to #SunAirshow every few minutes from outside Wilko on Fawcett Street in Sunderland city centre
Regional bus services
In addition to normal services, Go North East will be running special bus services to #SunAirshow from around the region.
These special services run until 10.30pm on Friday night and until 6.00pm on Saturday and Sunday.
Metro
Nearest Metro station to the heart the airshow: Seaburn, a 15-minute walk to the seafront.
When leaving #SunAirshow Seaburn, St Peter's and Stadium of Light are all within easy reach depending where you are on the site - download the

Additional Metro trains will be running on both days.
Train
If you're travelling to Sunderland by rail, the bus (Service 510 to #SunAirshow) departs from Sunderland station - outside Wilko on Fawcett Street in Sunderland city centre. Or, take the Metro without needing to leave the station.
Park and ride
Park and ride sites are located at Fulwell Quarry, Community North Sports Complex, Downhill and at the Stadium of Light at a charge of £2 per person return (under 5s free).
The fee will be collected at the bus queue.
These services will travel to and from the rear of Recreation Park (at the heart of #SunAirshow).
All park and ride sites will operate from 8.45am and the last bus leaves the airshow site at 6.45pm - giving you plenty of time to enjoy the entertainment on the ground after the flying displays have ended.
On-site parking
Seafront parking is available at Seaburn Showfield for a fee of £20.00 per car which will be collected at the entrance to the car park. Please follow the signs from major routes.
Disabled parking
Disabled parking for blue badge holders is available on-site at the rear of Morrison's. Please follow the signs from all the main routes.
Blue badge holders may also park in the designated areas at the park and ride sites, and in the limited disabled parking spaces on Seaburn Showfield.
Coach parking
Coach parking is available at Harbour View, SR6. No booking necessary. Please follow the signs from all the main routes.
Motorcycle parking
There is a designated motorcycle parking area behind the Seaburn Centre.
Cycle parking
Cycle parking is available at Marine Walk.
Traffic and parking updates
Tune into BBC Newcastle for traffic, travel and parking updates throughout the weekend.
Residents' permits
All resident permits will be delivered week commencing 13 July.
Any additional permits can be collected from the Administration Cabin on Cliffe Park from Tuesday 21 July onwards. The cabin will open from 10am to 7pm.
Proof of address must be shown. All additional permits will include the applicant's address before distribution.
