The Run Sunderland Festival is set to return in 2015 with the Sunderland City Half Marathon and Sunderland City 10k races. Both events will take place on Sunday 3 May (bank holiday weekend), once again starting and finishing at the Stadium of Light. 2015 will be the fifth year that Sunderland hosts the festival and its major road running events, in a partnership between event organiser DS Media & Events, Sunderland City Council and ourselves Sunderland Live.

Entries are now open for the 2015 Sunderland City Half Marathon and 10k, with discounts available for runners who book their places early and for members of running and athletics clubs. In addition, the event partners will offer special packages for charities, including group discounts and other added benefits. This special initiative is being designed to make the Run Sunderland Festival attractive to charities of all sizes who want to include running events as part of their fundraising programmes. Full details of the charity packages will be announced in the near future.
