Vintage and Retro everything!

The Vintage and Retro Festival takes place over the 1 and 2 June from 12noon to 4:30pm.

The festival is at the Sunderland Museum and Winter Gardens, Mowbray Park and City Centre.

On Saturday 1 June

Come along and enjoy the Daisy Green Media & Events Vintage Market, a vibrant shopping experience with over 20 locally based independent vintage and retro businesses selling vintage clothing, accessories, home wares and crafts. Alongside the gorgeous stalls will be Lindy Loops, on hand to provide on the spot alterations and a wedding and prom fashion show featuring The Libertarian and her fabulous headwear, Corner 93, Vintage at Number 18, Bowler Hat Vintage and more.

Why not dress up in your best vintage clothes and get your photo taken in Amber Le Fay’s and Bentley G Ravelles Moon Booth.

Treat yourself to Vintage Afternoon Tea in the Pottery Gallery provided by Serendipity Tea and Trinkets and entertainment by Scarlet Street and enjoy the fashion show in the comfort of your seat as you sip champagne.

There will be dance and beauty demonstrations throughout the day by Rockabilly Rosie, a scooter and vintage vehicle display on the park terrace and music in the bandstand by the Whodlums, Revolutionaires and DJ John the Mod.

Keep Kids Active will be hosting some good old fashioned fun games in Mowbray Park (opposite the bandstand). Come along and try out Stuck in the Mud, Hula Hoop, Cup and Saucer!

On Sunday 2 June

There will be a small scooter and vintage car display next to Roker Park bandstand with Rock and Roll themed music by the Magic Beings and Heartbeat with additional DJ by John the Mod. Children can enjoy free face painting and balloon modelling.
