Sunderland’s largest celebration event for lesbian, gay, bi-sexual and transgendered people is set to return.

This September sees Sunderland’s largest celebration event for lesbian, gay, bi-sexual and transgendered people return in what promises to be the best event yet.

On September 1st of this year, Sunderland Pride will return to Park Lane for the third of event of its kind.

The event will commence at the Civic Centre at 2pm, with a March through the City Centre of Sunderland culminating in Park Lane with street entertainment.

With the expansion of the stage events, from 3pm until 8pm in Park Lane, and with star studded acts expected to attend, organisers believe the event will be the biggest of its kind in the City yet.

The event has been sponsored by Sunderland Diversity Champions in the Stonewall Equality Index, Gentoo Group and Tyne & Wear Fire and Rescue, along with Stagecoach and night-life venue Ruba in Green Terrace.

Further information for the event will be released at their Launch Party on Monday July 29th at Ruba Bar, Green Terrace, Sunderland. For more info on this and future events you can contact Ryan@sunderlandpride.co.uk or call 0191 510 5022.
