Rihanna to sparkle at Stadium of Light

Worldwide superstar Rihanna - the "number one person on Facebook" with over 61.7 million Likes - is bringing her Diamonds world tour to Sunderland in 2013.

The Rihanna Diamonds world tour which began on 8 March in Buffalo, New York. The tour is scheduled to stop in more than 28 cities across North America prior to the European takeover beginning 26 May in Spain. The European tour has already confirmed concert dates in Austria, Belgium, Finland, France, Germany, Holland, Norway, Oslo, Scotland, Sweden and the UK with additional dates to be announced.

The UK leg of Rihanna's tour will see her play in Cardiff, Manchester, London, Birmingham and Sunderland.

The support act for the Stadium of Light show will be dance music sensation David Guetta.

Rihanna is currently dominating global charts with "Diamonds," the fastest-rising single of her career to date, and the first single from Unapologetic - her upcoming seventh studio album for Island Def Jam in just seven years.

She currently holds the record as the top-selling digital artist of all time.
