The city will be lit up from November 13 ‘til January 6, with special City Lights activity during December 11-13 and 18-20. The programme will feature magical lighting projections on some of the city’s most popular buildings. Marvel at the shapes, colours and images that will appear on the Minster and the Winter
Gardens among others, giving a whole new festive look and feel to the city centre in the lead up to the big day.

On the ground too, the city will be lit up with appearances from illuminated characters and performers. The internationally renowned street theatre group Spark will be bringing its unique mix of music, movement and lighting with its seven LED drummers, performing a showstopping parade around the city centre.
