Welsh Superstar Mezzo Soprano Katherine Jenkins, OBE, will be performing at The Northern Sessions' first concert in Herrington Country Park on Friday 6th May 2016.

Katherine will be accompanied by The National Symphony Orchestra who are conducted by Anthony Inglis.

The National Symphony Orchestra has previously accompanied Katherine on her 2015 'Home Sweet Home' tour.

Katherine, the world's most prolific Classical Crossover artist, is a great introduction to the Northern Sessions and sets the bar high for future performances.

Since she has burst on the music scene in 2013 she has performed all over the world and has become a favourite of the Royal Family and with our British Forces. .
Katherine Jenkins has not only made classical music popular to a wide audience but has also appeared in tv shows ranging from Pop Star to Opera Star and US hit show Dancing With The Stars, along with performing to audiences around the world.

The audience will also be treated to the musical talents of Special Guest Acts, Violinists Vladimir and Anton.

Vladimir and Anton are two brothers who are originally from Slovakia and hail from four generations of music makers. The brothers dazzling show will sure to be a hit with the concert audience.

Entrance is from 5.30pm and the concert will start at 7.00pm.
Licensing conditions require that no alcohol is permitted to be taken into the event site.

Pay bar facilities will be available.

This is a general admission open air concert and we encourage you to bring blankets or folding chairs if you would prefer to sit.
