Sunderland’s annual Concert of Remembrance promises to be an evening of celebration and commemoration when it takes place on the evening of Saturday 7 November. The event, which will take place in the Seaburn Centre, will be compered by BBC Radio Newcastle’s Anna Foster and will feature a full programme of musical and military tributes.

Starting at 7pm, the evening will open with a performance from The Band of Royal Corps of Signals before moving on to welcome East Herrington Primary School Choir, The Band and Bugles of Durham Army Cadet Force and the nostalgic, sultry tones of The Blitz Sisters.

Following a brief interlude, the concert’s second half will launch with a breathtaking performance by soloist Rebecca Pedlow and move on to welcome the awe-inspiring march on from Her Majesty’s Forces, the Standards of The Royal British Legion and the emergency services.

Tickets for the Concert of Remembrance are still available to purchase for £6 each at The Sunderland Museum and Winter Gardens or The Customer Service Centre in Fawcett Street. Tickets are no longer avbailable to purchase online.
